A Tea shop guide to Bath

Delicious Difference is a guide to taking tea in Bath where you can find scrumptious Gluten-Free Cakes.  The guide includes many original drawings and sketches along with lively descriptions of each tea shop.  It is available from the Tourist Information centre and currently includes the following cafes: Coral Quay, Dashi Sushi, Metropolitan Cafe, The Pump Rooms and Darling Deli.  More cafes will be added in new additions and updates of cakes and teas included.

If you are not gluten intolerant yourself, the chances are that members of your family or friends will be. It is estimated that around 25 per cent of Britons need to be gluten free.
The trouble is that even if you are gluten intolerant you probably still like to go out to tea particularly as Bath has so many good tea shops.
Now you probably can thanks to George Yeats, Suzy Harvey and Felix Wilkinson who have written a new booklet called Delicious Difference – Taking Tea in Bath: Where to find Scrumptious Gluten Free Cakes.
George said the idea came to them because they are gluten intolerant themselves.
"The tea shops included in Delicious Difference had to have at least three gluten free cakes on their regular menus when we visited," said George.
The trio ask that if a tea shop is not included but owners or customers think it should be they can perhaps be included in future guides by writing to deliciousdiffernece@hotmail.co. uk.
Fans of Bath's top tourist attraction The Pump Room will be delighted to hear that they have a gluten free menu including scones, chocolate cake and lemon drizzle cake.
You can find copies of the book at Tourist Information centres as well as some of the city's tourist shops, hotels and bed and breakfast establishment.
